Treatment of Condyloma

What is Condyloma?

Dry blisters that occur on the skin or mucous membrane of the genital area due to the HPV virus, white-gray color, are called genital warts. The equivalent of a genital wart in medical terminology is condyloma. A genital wart is a disease that is very common in society, most often transmitted sexually, rarely non-sexually. There are 40 different types of HPV virus that cause genital warts.

Condyloma, mucosal surfaces (such as the vagina and its surroundings, the inside of the penis urinary tract) in the form of glove fingers-like shape around the tissue with a similar color can also come across as warts. In some cases, this condyloma can develop slowly in the form of ulcerative and cauliflower-like lesions and spread to surrounding tissue.

Treatment of Fractional Condyloma

  • Laser treatment does not leave any scars or sutures on the patient’s skin tissue.
  • Laser therapy can be performed on the same day as the examination of genital warts. Thanks to this, genital warts can be removed in a short time without prolonging the process.
  • The duration of laser genital wart treatment was quite short In some patients, two or three sessions of treatment can be performed depending on the prevalence of warts.
  • After the laser procedure, the patient resumes his daily life in a short time. Within the same day after the procedure, he can lie down and sit down the way he wants.
  • Laser therapy can be applied without any risk factors in people with diseases such as sugar, blood pressure.

During laser treatment, there are no surgical conditions such as dislocation, peeling or cutting of genital warts. In laser treatment, the patient’s warts are dried and shed thanks to laser beams. Before starting the procedure, local anesthesia is applied to the area where the patient has warts. For this reason, the patient does not feel any pain or pain both during and after treatment.

During laser treatment of genital warts, redness and crusting appear in the area where the patient has warts. They heal completely within 2-3 weeks. During this process, a feeling of itching may occur due to healing in the areas of the patient where there is crusting. However, apart from this, there are no pain or painful sensations that will disturb the patient’s daily life during or after the procedure.
